Richard Maxwell is Professor of Media Studies at Queens College, City University of New York. His publications include The Spectacle of Democracy, Culture Works: The Political Economy of Culture, Herbert Schiller, Global Hollywood (co-author), Greening the Media (with Toby Miller), The Routledge Companion to Labor and Media, Media and the Ecological Crisis (co-editor), How Green is Your Smartphone?
